Liberatory Livelihood – Aligning Work, Needs, and Purpose
A 5-week online course that gives you a framework for a livelihood of security, dignity, and purpose.
Every Thursday evening, 7pm CET from 24 September 2026, to 22 October 2026.Outcomes…
A 5-week course to re-imagine and re-integrate your livelihood as a living ecosystem.
This is a space for collective practice, where we read, journal, reflect, and debrief together. Over the 5-weeks, we will…
Learn to see our livelihood as a garden, instead of it being a static machine;
Discover a new framework for human needs, so you can stop confusing money for the things you're actually hungry for;
Cultivate aligned, conscious, and caring community within and beyond the course;
Examine different models for purpose, livelihood, and communal roles, learning what it means to be a good ancestor;
Discover acupuncture points for systems change for powerful and sustainable transformation, within and without.
Each week, we blend curated wisdom from leading thinkers, live group exploration, and journaling to help you connect to your inner clarity, and gifts to the web of life.
Who This Is For…
This programme was designed for the sensitive, thoughtful individual who feels that their livelihood should mean more.
You will feel at home here if you:
Are unemployed, pursuing, or intending to pursue alternative forms of employment and livelihood;
Feel chronically burnt-out and out of alignment in your current role, and are ready to understand the root causes;
Are tired of chasing society's "shoulds" and want to define success by your own values and needs;
Sense a quiet calling or gift within you, but feel blocked on how to share it sustainably;
Are at a crossroads, feeling the tension between "paying the bills," "healing yourself," and "building a better future."
In short: this is for the willing gardener, ready to tend to their inner landscape to cultivate an outer life that truly flourishes.
What we’ll cover
A 5-Week Journey Through Your Livelihood Ecosystem
Each 2-hour live session is a dedicated space for exploration, shared reflection, and guided practice.
In every session, we’ll make space for collective activities or breakout rooms so that we can get to know each other at a more human scale.
Each module also includes curated reading and reflective prompts sent before the call, so we can bring our personal insights, and dive deep from the moment we gather live.
Here’s the path we’ll walk together:
Module 1: The Garden – Planting the Seed of Awareness
We begin by meeting your "garden of livelihood." What plants are you tending to, what’s in your substrate, what nurtures your soil, and how does your compost shape your garden.
Module 2: Earth – Tending Your Fundamental Needs
We take a page from barefoot economics, learning new ways to meeting our needs beyond the 9-5, bringing clarity to our real human needs, and leveraging community to create win-win synergies.
Module 3: Water – Flowing into Community
We explore how to cultivate aligned, conscious, and caring community beyond the course, so that we can find support as we experiment with new ways of meeting the world and our livelihood.
Module 4: Fire – Igniting Your Purpose
We discover different models for purpose and livelihood throughout human civilisation. Learning about mythopoetic identity, understanding what it means to be a good ancestor, and releasing ourselves from what’s been holding us back;
Module 5: Air – Navigating with Clarity
We explore acupuncture points for systems change to facilitate our inner-transformation so that we can intentionally, sustainably, and powerfully, birth our new livelihood into the world.

Namora Lubis
Meet Your Facilitator
I work with overachievers, caregivers, and seekers who feel burnt-out and excluded from their own lives.
We learn to listen to the wisdom of the body to cultivate a deep sense of self-love, trust and confidence, to go from the anxiety of "Am I?" to the wholeness of "I am."
For the Liberatory Livelihood Course, I blend my lived experiences with monkhood, permaculture, and indigenous ways of life to help us come back to ourselves, each other, and our livelihoods.

FAQs
-
Life happens.
All live sessions will be recorded and made available to enrolled participants within 24 hours.
You will access to these recordings for a year.
While the live interaction is invaluable for connection, you will be able to follow the journey at your own pace if necessary.
Breakout rooms will not be recorded.
-
We respect your time.
The core commitment is the 2-hour live call each week.
Before each module, you will receive a short, curated reading (like an essay chapter) and 2-3 reflective questions. Engaging with this pre-work takes about 30-45 minutes and significantly deepens your live session experience, but the most important thing is your presence on the calls.
-
Breakout rooms will be kept at between 2-4 people per room. This is to maximise your opportunity to foster connections, inspire one another, and participate deeply.
-
The Wise Livelihood course focuses on clarity, community, and simplicity.
As such, there will not be an online membership site that you will have to access.
Everything you need arrives directly in your inbox. You'll receive readings and reflection questions ahead of each module via email—and you will receive no more than one email per week! (i.e. 5 emails in total.)
All other engagement, and community building, happens during our live, interactive Zoom sessions and breakout rooms.
No new passwords to remember, no portals to navigate—just pure learning and connection.
